Why use Diamond Crop?
A diamond frame pulls the eye to one small subject in the middle, which suits a ring, a product shot, a monogram, or a single face on a card.
Diamond Crop uses a square turned 45 degrees, with its four points touching the middle of each side of the frame. Roughly half of the square frame ends up transparent, so the subject needs to be fairly small and close to the center.
That makes it a good match for one product, a ring, a monogram, or a single face, and a poor match for group photos, where the people at the sides are cut off first. Check the slanted edges for text before you save.
The export is a square PNG, 1200 × 1200 pixels unless you type another width. To use the diamond on a wide banner, place the PNG on the banner in your design app instead of stretching it, because stretching flattens the diamond into a rhombus.
