Why use Resize Image?
Marketplaces, forms and website themes ask for set sizes like 1080 × 1080 or 1200 pixels wide. Typing the number here gives you that exact file without opening an editor and guessing at percentages.
Width and Height start at 1200 × 800 and accept 1 to 12000 pixels. With Keep aspect ratio on, which is the default, only the width counts: a 4000 × 3000 photo set to 1200 wide comes out 1200 × 900. Switch the checkbox off to force both numbers. If the proportions differ from the original, the picture is stretched or squashed to fit.
Scaling uses the Lanczos3 filter from the pica library, which keeps edges crisp when you shrink a photo. The output is always PNG, so a resized JPEG can end up heavier in bytes than the original even though it has fewer pixels. The whole result is capped at 50 megapixels, and the tool tells you if your numbers go past that.
Resize Image scales the whole picture and never cuts anything off. To reach an exact size with a different shape, use Crop Image, which lets you frame the part you want and type the output width and height. For a lighter file at the same size, use Compress Image afterwards.

How to use Resize Image
- 01Tap Choose image and pick the photo you need at a set size.
- 02Type the target in Width (px). Leave Keep aspect ratio ticked, or untick it and also type Height (px) to force both.
- 03Tap Apply changes, confirm the pixel size shown under the result, then tap Download result for the PNG.

Resize Image tips
- The Height box is ignored while Keep aspect ratio is on, so do not waste time typing it.
- Width and Height open at 1200 × 800; replace them before you apply or you get that size.
- Going above the original size softens the photo, because scaling up cannot invent detail.
- Follow with Compress Image if the PNG comes out heavier than the JPEG you started with.
