The short answer
Why use Image Viewer?
File details explain why a photo prints badly, turns sideways, or reveals more than you meant. Checking the file first saves guesswork.
Open a file here when you need to see it at full size and know its real pixel dimensions, for example when a form says your photo is too small. After you tap Apply changes, the status line shows the width and height in pixels, the megapixels, and the file size, and the download bar repeats the size next to the file type.
Image Viewer never re-encodes anything. Download result hands back the exact same file, byte for byte, so it is safe to use as a last look before you send a photo on. If you need the aspect ratio, a 300 DPI print size, or the MIME type as text you can copy, Size Finder lists those. For camera settings and GPS tags, use EXIF Viewer.
Phone photos are often stored sideways with a rotation tag. The viewer applies that tag, so the width and height you see match the way the photo displays, which can be the reverse of what an older desktop program reports.

Image Viewer tips
- Megapixels are rounded to one decimal, so a 4032 × 3024 phone photo reads 12.2 MP.
- Width and height follow the rotation tag, so a phone shot stored sideways still reads as portrait.
- Download result returns the same bytes, so the file size neither shrinks nor grows.
- For the aspect ratio or a 300 DPI print size, open the same photo in Size Finder.
