Why use EXIF Viewer?
Most galleries show three or four EXIF fields and hide the rest. Seeing the full list helps you learn from a shot's settings, check a date, or spot location data before you share a photo.
Tags are shown with their standard names, for example ExposureTime, FNumber, ISO and DateTimeOriginal. Dates appear in your local format, long lists are cut after 16 values, and binary fields show their size in bytes rather than raw data. Below the tags you get the pixel size, ratio, megapixels and file size.
The image has to open in your browser before the tags are read, so HEIC photos only work where the browser can decode them, such as Safari. A JPEG exported from an editor may carry the editor's name in Software and a new ModifyDate, while DateTimeOriginal keeps the moment the shutter fired.
For just the map position, Photo Location pulls out latitude, longitude and altitude with an OpenStreetMap link. Shutter Count looks only for a shutter count field. DPI Checker reads the print resolution, including from JPEG and PNG headers that EXIF does not cover. Each of them reads the file in your browser, as EXIF Viewer does.

EXIF Viewer tips
- DateTimeOriginal is when the shutter fired; ModifyDate changes when the file is edited.
- No EXIF usually means a screenshot or a file stripped by a chat app.
- Long value lists are cut after 16 entries to keep the report readable.
- Maker notes, IPTC and XMP are not listed.
