The short answer
Why use Circle Crop?
A round image on a website, a slide or an email signature only looks clean if the corners are truly see-through. Masking that by hand takes layers in an editor; here the circle is already drawn and you only frame it.
The frame is locked to 1:1. Width accepts 16 to 8000 pixels and starts at 1200; Height copies it and cannot be typed. Inside the exported square, the circle's diameter is 96% of the width, so a 1200 pixel file holds a 1152 pixel circle with 24 transparent pixels on each side.
Transparency only survives as PNG, which is why this tool never offers JPEG. Chat apps and some social sites convert uploads to JPEG and fill the corners with white or black, which turns the circle back into a square. Send it as a file, or place it on your background in a design app before you post it.
For profile pictures on WhatsApp, Discord and similar apps, use WhatsApp DP, Discord PFP or Avatar Crop instead. Those apps expect a full square and cut the circle themselves. Oval Crop is the version where you choose the width and height of an ellipse, for a standing portrait that a circle would squeeze.

Circle Crop tips
- Type 400 in Width for an email signature photo; 1200 is far more than a signature needs.
- Leave a little space around a face so the curve does not clip ears or hair.
- Run Trim Transparent afterwards if you need the circle to touch the file edges.
- Upload the PNG as a file in chat apps, or the corners may turn white.
