Why use Reverse GIF?
Rewinding a clip is a classic joke and a quick way to fix a loop that runs the wrong way. Reordering dozens of frames in an editor is tedious.
There are no settings. The last frame becomes the first, and so on down the line. Every frame keeps the delay it had, so a GIF with uneven timing stays uneven in the same places, just mirrored in time. The width, height, and loop setting are unchanged, and the status line shows the frame count and file size when it is done.
Because delays move with their frames, a GIF built with a long pause on its last frame now opens with that pause, which can make it feel slow to start. A GIF set to play once will play once backwards and stop on what used to be its first frame. Check the preview loop before you post it.
For a boomerang, merge the original and the reversed copy with Merge GIFs. The merged GIF can hold 300 frames, so the source can have up to 150. To change the pace rather than the direction, use GIF Speed Changer, and to mirror the picture left to right, Flip GIF.
