Why use Image to Text?
Retyping a page or a screenshot is slow and full of typos. OCR gives you editable text in seconds, and you only fix the words it misread.
There are no settings. The first run downloads the text reader and its English data, a few megabytes, and the status line shows each loading step with a percentage. Then the words are read and shown in the result box. Copy text puts them on your clipboard, and Download result saves a .txt file named after the image.
OCR needs sharp, straight, high-contrast text that fills a good part of the frame. Small print in a wide photo is often missed, so crop to the text with Crop Image and level a tilted page with Rotate first. The output is plain lines: bold, fonts, and table borders are gone, and side-by-side columns can run together.
For a scanned PDF, turn the pages into images with PDF to JPG, then read each page here. To read a QR code rather than words, use QR Scanner. Image to Base64 has a similar name but encodes the file itself as text for HTML.

Image to Text tips
- Crop to the text block first; small print in a wide photo is often missed.
- Only English is read, so accented letters may come out wrong.
