Why use AI Viewer?
RAW, PSD, AI, and PDF files need special apps to open. This viewer answers the quick question, like what is in this file, without installing anything.
Illustrator normally saves a PDF copy inside each .ai file. AI Viewer renders the first page of that copy at one and a half times its page size, shows it, and saves it as a PNG. The status line tells you how many pages the PDF part contains.
Files saved with Create PDF Compatible File turned off, and old EPS-based .ai files, have no PDF part, so they cannot be opened here. Fonts that were not embedded may be replaced, and some effects can look different from Illustrator.
Only the first page is shown. If the artwork was exported as a multi-page PDF, PDF to JPG renders every page. The PNG is a picture of the artwork, not editable vector paths.

How to use AI Viewer
- 01Tap Choose AI file and pick the .ai file saved from Illustrator.
- 02Tap Apply changes. The first page of the file's PDF copy is drawn at 1.5 times its page size.
- 03Tap Download result to save the PNG, named after your file and ending in -ai-preview.png.

AI Viewer tips
- If it will not open, the file was saved without Create PDF Compatible File.
- Old EPS-based .ai files cannot be shown here.
- Fonts that were not embedded may be swapped for a fallback.
- Only page one renders; for multi-page artwork, export a PDF and use PDF to JPG.
