The short answer
Why use Extract GIF Frames?
Many GIFs store only the part of each frame that changed, so a simple frame grab gives you broken patches. Here every frame is rebuilt in full before it is saved.
There is nothing to set. Choose a GIF up to 50 MB and tap Apply changes. The status line counts the frames as they are encoded, and the ZIP is named after your file with -frames.zip at the end. Each PNG keeps the GIF's exact colors and its transparent pixels, at the GIF's full width and height.
Every GIF tool here refuses files with more than 300 frames, or with more than 200 megapixels of frames in total, which is width times height times frames. A 600 × 600 GIF reaches that area at about 555 frames, so the frame cap usually comes first. The ZIP can be much larger than the GIF, because PNG does not share data between frames the way GIF can.
Split GIF does the same unpacking but saves each frame as a one-frame GIF. GIF to PNG saves only the first frame, which is quicker when that is all you need. To delete a frame rather than export it, use GIF Frame Remover. Once you have edited some PNGs, Images to GIF can stitch them back into an animation.
