Why use Chart Maker?
Making one chart for a slide or a chat message in a spreadsheet means fighting with chart menus and export settings. Here you paste two columns and the image updates as you type.
Chart type starts at Bar, and Labels and values starts with four months as an example. Width and height start at 1200 × 800 pixels and accept 16 to 8000. Text and line sizes grow with the image, so a 2400 × 1600 chart is not just a blurry copy of the small one. The vertical axis always starts at zero.
Pie and doughnut charts show a legend under the chart, while bar and line charts label the bottom axis instead. Pie and doughnut refuse negative numbers and need at least one value above zero. There is no title, axis caption, or value label on the bars, so add a heading on your slide. A percent sign after a value is allowed and ignored.
The chart is drawn with the Chart.js library on a white background. For a printable grid to plot by hand, use one of the graph paper tools, such as 5mm Graph Paper. Perspective Grid and Grid Maker draw guides rather than data. To add an arrow pointing at a bar, run the PNG through Add Arrow.

Chart Maker tips
- Write decimals with a point, like 12.5.
- Skip thousands separators: 1200, not 1,200.
- Pie and Doughnut reject negative values.
