Blur Face online

Hiding a face by hand means selecting it, blurring it, and checking it is really unreadable. Here every area you mark is hidden at once, and the strength never drops low enough to leave a face recognisable.

Each area you mark is hidden in the style you choose. Pixelate is the default: at Strength 60 the shorter side of the area is split into about 12 blocks, and at 100 into about 4, so the face turns into a few large squares. Strength runs from 10 to 100. Blur uses a radius of at least one eighth of the area, and Solid box ignores Strength.

Detect faces adds a box around every face the model finds and grows it a little so the hairline and chin are covered. It is most reliable on faces that fill a fair part of the frame. In wide group shots or crowds, check each person and drag over anyone it missed. Choosing a new photo clears all areas.

Use License Plate Blur for car photos; it hides areas the same way but has no face detection, so you draw the box yourself. For blurring the whole background instead of one face, Lens Blur keeps a round area sharp and softens everything else. Blur in the filters section softens the entire picture.
