Why use Image Compare?
Making a before-and-after image by hand means matching the two sizes, masking half of one picture, and drawing the line. Here you pick the two files and move the divider.
Divider position runs from 0 to 100 percent of the width and starts at 50, the middle. At 30, the first picture shows on the left 30 percent and the second takes the rest. A 4 pixel white line marks the split. The result takes the width and height of the first picture and saves as a PNG.
Both pictures are drawn over the same full frame, so the left side shows the left part of the first image and the right side shows the right part of the second. If the camera moved between shots, the line shows a visible jump. Crop both versions the same way first. The split is always vertical; there is no top-and-bottom option.
Image Overlay lays the whole second picture over the first at an opacity you set, which is handier for spotting small shifts between two versions of a design. Merge Images places two complete pictures side by side without cutting either one. Image Blender mixes the two with a multiply blend for a double-exposure look rather than a comparison.

Image Compare tips
- Export both versions at the same size so nothing is trimmed from the second one.
- A camera that moved between shots shows a jump at the white line.
