Why use Hue Adjust?
Making a color variant of a graphic, or just trying odd color schemes, is slow when you repaint by hand. One angle slider shifts the whole palette at once and keeps all the shading.
The slider is labelled Hue shift and runs from −180° to 180°, starting at 30°. 0 leaves the colors unchanged. Positive and negative values turn the wheel in opposite directions, so 180 and −180 give the same result. Brightness and the amount of color stay roughly where they were.
The shift uses the same color matrix as the hue-rotate filter in web browsers. It is quick but not exact: some colors come out slightly lighter or darker after the turn, and 180° is not a true color inversion. Neutral grays never change, so a black-and-white photo stays black and white.
Color Replacer changes only the pixels close to one color and keeps the rest, which is better for a single shirt or car. Saturation changes how strong the colors are without moving them around the wheel. Invert gives a true inversion of every color and brightness, the photo negative look.

Hue Adjust tips
- About 120° moves red toward green; −120° moves it toward blue.
- 180° and −180° give the same result.
- Gray, black, and white never change, so neutral backgrounds stay put.
