Why use Green Screen Remover?
Keying out a green screen by hand in a photo editor takes a selection and a mask. For a well-lit backdrop, this rule does it in one step, ready for a thumbnail or a composite.
A pixel is cleared when its green value beats both red and blue by more than the Tolerance. Tolerance runs from 0 to 100 and starts at 42, counted in levels on the 0 to 255 scale even though the slider shows a percent sign. Lower values clear more, including paler or darker greens; higher values clear only strong green.
Shadows on the backdrop are darker and less green, so they can stay behind as a dark halo. Lower Tolerance in steps of five until they go, and check that green or teal items in the subject, like a shirt or plants, are not cleared too. The cut has hard edges, so leave a little room before you resize the result.
