The short answer
Why use Find Coordinates?
Guessing coordinates for CSS sprites, image maps or game assets wastes rounds of trial and error. Dragging a crosshair to the exact spot gives a number you can paste straight into code.
The crosshair starts in the center of the image. Drag it, or tap anywhere to move it there, and the status line reads Coordinate: (x, y) px. You can also type values into Point X and Point Y to jump to a known position and see what sits there. There is no scale setting here, because a position is always in pixels.
On a phone the preview is much smaller than the image, so one screen pixel can cover several image pixels. For pixel-exact work, drag close, then fine-tune by typing the numbers. Coordinates are clamped to the image, so a point cannot sit outside its edges.
To make a clickable area from two corners, Image Map turns a rectangle into ready HTML. For the distance between two points rather than the position of one, use Measure Distance, which also accepts a scale for real units. Image Map takes percentages rather than pixels, so divide a coordinate by the image width or height and multiply by 100 to convert.

Find Coordinates tips
- Coordinates count from the top-left corner, with Y growing downward.

- For Image Map, convert pixels to percent: x ÷ width × 100.
